EVERYONE PRAYS part 3
In our series “Everyone Prays,” today's devotion focuses on “How should we pray?” using 1 Thessalonians 5:17, which says, “Pray without ceasing.” Reflecting on my childhood, I recall the simplicity and sincerity of my prayers, speaking to God as a child to a loving parent. As I grew older, I sometimes overthought my prayers, striving for the right words, but remembered that God desires heartfelt conversations, not dramatic performances. The Bible emphasizes approaching God with the pure faith of a child, leading to powerful and intimate prayer.
To pray effectively, we must pray with faith and confidence, believing that God hears and answers our prayers, as stated in Hebrews 11:6. Our faith must be accompanied by corresponding deeds, aligning with James 2:20. Additionally, our prayers should align with God's will, seeking His desires for our lives as revealed in His Word, according to 1 John 5:14-15. By praying with faith, aligning with God's will, and persistently activating corresponding work, we can position ourselves to see our prayers answered. May God fulfill His word in your life as you follow these principles. Amen.
