CASTING A STONE

This sermon discusses casting a stone from an incident in the life of Jesus as recorded in John’s gospel chapter 8:1-11.

The Jewish leaders were using the weakness found in a woman to trap Jesus, betraying their callous indifference to the pain they were willing to cause and their unsympathetic nature.

The lesson advocates that believers should be mindful of their judgmental attitude, which may betray a lack of love and forgiveness even as they try to correct others using God’s law because the same law when used on them will condemn their cold-heartedness.
