AN OUTING WITH STEVE WORLEY
This episode of the Diasporan features Steve Worley, a veteran sailor, who as a retired naval officer, trained in Bible from Heritage Christian University in Florence, Alabama (formerly International Christian College –IBC) and began to travel for missionary work both in Europe and Africa. Missionary Steve Worley decided to work in Nigeria with his family and he travelled to the northern parts of the nation to help build the church and establish a Bible College at Jos, Plateau State. He is well beloved and even after crossing 80 years of age, is still very active in helping to build the first Church of Christ University in the northern part of Nigeria.
In this interview, Steve reveals his vast array of experiences from different parts of Nigeria and his love for God’s work. His unique sense of humor and grit sustained him throughout his diasporan journeys and he is a veteran both militarily from the United States Navy and spiritually in the Lord’s army.
