CONFRONTING YOUR FEARS III

In today's broadcast, we continue our exploration of fear by focusing on the fear of risk, a powerful force that can paralyze us and prevent us from stepping into the opportunities God has planned for our lives. Drawing from the story of Comfort, a woman who was afraid to leave her secure job to pursue her passion for baking, we see how fear of the unknown and fear of failure can keep us from realizing our God-given potential. However, just like Peter walking on water, when we focus on God and place our trust in Him, we can overcome these fears and experience the fulfillment of His promises.

The Bible does not shy away from the reality of fear but offers powerful tools to overcome it. Stories like that of Joshua being commanded to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land remind us that God’s promises and presence give us the strength to take bold steps of faith, even in uncertain situations. By anchoring ourselves in God's word, trusting His plan, and surrounding ourselves with supportive believers, we can face risks with confidence, knowing that God is with us every step of the way.

Overcoming the fear of risk is an ongoing process that requires faith, persistence, and practical steps. We are encouraged to build our faith through Scripture, develop a faith-based mindset, seek support from our Christian community, and gradually confront our fears. Just as the Israelites crossed the Jordan River in faith, trusting in God’s promise, we too must step out boldly, standing on God’s promises, and trusting Him to lead us into the incredible plans He has prepared for us.
